Sophie Harpley is a British artist and designer painting patterns by hand to bring expressive style, joy and colour to the home.
Her original printed linens and wallpapers draw from modernist art, botanical forms, antiques and travel. Her freehand style brings fresh character to both modern and traditional interiors. 


Sophie's linen and wallpaper are printed in England using sustainable methods and materials. Her cushions and lampshades are also made from these original papers and cloth, in small batches to avoid waste and maintain a highly crafted finish

Sophie's creative career was shaped by an early role at The V&A Museum. Discovering a love of decorative art she went on to study in Bristol, gaining an MA Graphic Arts in 2012. She soon began her eponymous brand offering illustrative homeware and bespoke commissions. Sophie's collections have grown alongside creative work for lifestyle brands including Bloom & Wild x Liberty, Habitat, Graham & Green and she continues to offer creative consultancy on a freelance basis. 


Sophie's work has featured in press including British Vogue, House & Garden and The Financial Times and attracted stocksits such as The Royal Academy of Arts. She has enjoyed creative collaborations with Rosie Birkett and charity Mind among others. In 2023 Sophie partnered with Glassette and Domenica Marland and won a Homes & Gardens Design Award for her wallpaper collection.
