The Bloomsbury print was inspired by England's beloved Bloomsbury Group artists; Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and their freespirited appoach to hand-painted decoration. While studying in Susssex in the noughties, Sophie first discovered their home, now a museum, Charleston Farmhouse and she has made regular visits ever since. This design evokes the warm earthy colours and joyous sense of decorative painting found there.
'Bloomsbury' linen
Sophie's natural linen fabric is woven and printed in the British Isles and has a natural texture, lovely weight and drape. This cloth is perfect for light upholstery, curtain making and soft furnishings.
Made from: 60% linen 40% cotton
Weight: 280gsm
Fabric width: 140cm
Pattern repeat: 22 x 22cm
Care: Machine wash on a low temperature, 30° or less. Allow to spin and then air dry from damp. Alternatively dry clean or or simply wipe clean upholstery with warm water and gentle soap. Linen is best steamed rather than ironed, a basic household steamer is perfect.
